Looking after your equipment is the best route to follow if you don’t want to have to replace it every few years. So let’s take a closer look at some top tips for taking care of your AV equipment.

Audio System Setup
When first setting up your audio system, the last you should turn on is the amplifier. Begin with all your audio sources such as microphones, computer inputs and DVD players, etc. Ensure that each level of audio is at 0 decibels, and play audio while maintaining the 0db level as the signal passes through the system. Once confident the signal travels through the system, you can power up the amplifier and set the loudness to the desired level.

Check Filters on Projectors
Many commercial projects come with filters that can be replaced. When you change the projector lamp, check and clean all the filters too. This keeps the projector temperature to a minimum and greatly prolongs the life of the projector. These are only a few of the tips you can follow to take care of and prolong the life of your audio visual equipment.
